2013 Pontiac G8 with Code Names

2013 Pontiac G8 cars lately came up with rumors of the reborn of Pontiac. After five years was ice-boxed and introduced with new names, the 2013 and 2014 series said to be surprising. GMInside has blown the rumor in March in a LA Auto Show and give clue no more than a code name ‘SS Sedan’. Another code name used by media is shiny and more likely a repetition to previous well-known market leader: Holden Commodore.

Reborn as Adjustment

Chevy as known as compact utility car on its latest releases has marked as a black sheep of the sinking Pontiac. But market sometimes looks at these two brands as a one same body. As 2013 Pontiac G8 has rumored to be reborn with such a classic code name since Holden, the analysts supports the opinion that the series of reborn will be just a clever adjustment GM is trying to show. Here comes the era of 4-door sport sedan like Caprise and the SS V who look years younger and left the muscles behind.

If GM is really considering the retail market as warhead, the rear-drive Holden Commodore and other successor of G8 will be back as a brand new form of stylish troops, not some old classic generations that only have stacked quad headlights as GTO has. You can also read 2013 Hyundai Accent Review.

Code Names as the Product

Pontiac, just like other companies which are focused on creating innovations, believes that pre-launching code names are good instruments in marketing. It’s not like NASA project that is designed super secret and with a utopian purpose. Business is about making price, and by using code names like ‘Sedan SS’ and Commodore, Pontiac is right behind curtain that will be raised soon as a new concept of competitive car show, start from this 2013 Pontiac G8.
